When I’m in Darwin I’m staying here every time you know when you have a bad hotel experience and it ruins the trip don’t worry about that here, the bed my word is it comfy, pillows 1 soft 1 firm which I never got a sore neck from, they are generous with resupply your room with tea coffee and milk! it’s all clean no bugs here at all which can be a problem in Darwin, any issues or queries they resolve very quickly, it’s very secure, aircon is great and not loud, they mop the corridor daily and the cleaning product they use smells so good, the dunner is also so comfy makes you want to stay in bed that extra 30 mins, noise level is 0 because it’s not on main road and 2 mins away from the shops very peaceful the photos on the app and website is 100% accurate, the telly is one of those nifty ones that has YouTube and live tv which has all the good channels which is amazing! So if your reading this your looking at if you should stay or not and I highly recommend it will make your Darwin trip unforgettable!

I stayed here during a work trip and found the hotel to be very clean and well-maintained. The staff were consistently helpful and polite, which made for a pleasant experience overall. I did encounter some difficulty obtaining an invoice—which was essential for my business travel—but thankfully, the issue was eventually resolved by the management. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Darwin, making it easy to access shops, restaurants, and key points of interest. However, the amenities are quite limited. The breakfast was rather underwhelming, and the lobby is small and not particularly inviting as a place to sit or relax. There's no dedicated common area, restaurant, or bar, which might be a drawback for some travelers. That said, if you're looking for a clean, centrally located hotel that offers great value for money and friendly service, this is a solid choice—as long as you don’t mind skipping some of the extras.

Room was spacious enough, even had a mini balcony, handy to dry out swimwear in the day time, bathroom a bit small but functional, liked large square rainwater style shower head. Floors all tiles-very practical in Darwin climate, though I’ve visited during dry season. Small plunge pool with inbuilt spa was refreshing after long walks to attractions and back in heat. Bed -king size, not hard, 4 pillows to choose from, comfortable. Breakfast-sufficient if you have modest expectations, not cooked, 6-8 types of cereal, milk, tea, coffee, juices, toast, 4 different types and standard spread choices, 3 or 4 jam varieties were even in jars. Most of grey nomads were even running around with bananas in their hands. Located in quiet street, so not a lot of outside noises. Corridors were well lit late at night or in the evenings, compared to another hotel I’ve stayed in Tasmania.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The amenities were top-notch, and the hotel's location was perfect for exploring the city. Special kudos to Hana at the front desk, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Their helpfulness and friendly demeanour made the check-in process seamless and pleasant. Lastly, Belle at the hotel's restaurant provided excellent service during breakfast. Overall, my stay at Argus was fantastic, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The outstanding staff made my experience memorable, and I look forward to returning in the future.

The freshness and cleanliness of the hotel + the simple decor of the large room with views out over the harbour. The king bed was so comfortable, as were the arm chairs , + the tea and coffee making area with small fridge was also very convenient. + a desk and chair . The position was very central, and we were able to walk to all places of interest within the city . Woolies about 5 mins away on foot + multiple cafes scattered around within 10 minutes walk. The included breakfast was a simple continental spread, but with a huge selection of cereals, breads and condiments etc ...more than adequate and very well attended to by smiling staff . Highly recommend this spotless and convenient hotel for your stay in Darwin .
